Erie police are continuing to search for a suspect in connection to a fatal hit-and-run from over the weekend.

It's one of four fatal hit-and-run cases now under investigation.

The most recent case happened near East 12th and Downing Avenue around 12:40 a.m. Sunday.  Police arrived to find the victim--identified as 53-year-old Kenneth Trueblood--dead in the road.

For Charles Black, it's a type of incident that is all too familiar.

“I know I had a sister that passed away years ago,” said Black.  “Now I know what my father felt."

Police are also investigating the death of Charles' 51-year-old son Emery Black.  Last February, Emery was walking across the street to his house when he was hit by a car and killed.  The driver kept going.

"I just can't believe it,” said Charles Black.  “Somebody could do something like this and get away with it and have the conscience.  It doesn't make any sense."

Police are also investigating the case of David Hamilton, 51, who was killed in May of 2012 while crossing West 38th Street near Raspberry Street.  The fourth case involves 37-year-old Hector Rios.  In May of 2010, he was killed in a hit-and-run off of Broad Street.  Police are asking for the public's help in each case.

"If you have any information on the vehicle, if you know of anybody that may have seen the accident or knows something about what happened there, we would ask they call." Said Erie Police Chief Randy Bowers.

As each case remains open, the victim's family members seek closure.

"I just wish the person would come across and come around because they're not going to have a peace of mind the rest of their life,” said Charles Black.  “They'll have no peace."
