Police Officially Charge 14-year-old in City's Latest Homicide
Fourteen-year-old Derrys Sanders has turned himself into police this afternoon in connection with the latest homicide in the City of Erie that claimed the life of 18-year-old Jacob Pushinsky.
Sanders arrived at the Erie Police station with family members shortly after 12:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Erie Police Chief Randy Bowers has confirmed that he has been charged with homicide, as an adult.
The shooting happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of East 8th Street during an attempted robbery.
Pushinsky was shot while on his bicycle and transported to UPMC Hamot where he later died.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning.
