Hooch and Blotto's, the Scott Enterprises restaurant alongside Splash Lagoon, is about to add high-tech duck pin bowling.  We got a sneak peak on Monday.  Workers have installed eight lanes of mini-bowling, in the north end of the restaurant and sports bar. They have been testing it for several days.  Construction is continuing on windows that will allow people in the restaurant to watch the bowlers.

Although it is the first business of its kind here, Nick Scott told us the idea of boutique bowling is catching on in other places across the country, so they decided, why not try it here.  "And we came up with this idea that is kind of sweeping the country, boutique bowling and mini bowling, and so what you have here is comfortable seating, a great bowling venue, we have eight lanes here so families, birthday parties will be able to rent the lanes by the hour," said Scott.  He added that they will be able to order from the same menu as the rest of the restaurant.

Lisa Adams tried it out today, rolling a couple of mini bowling balls down the lane, although it will not officially open to customers for 10 days. As for the high-tech part, Scott told us, "there's a lot of software involved so when you start to bowl, you can have your picture taken and go bowling against others and there's all sorts of programming to make it more interesting that just plain bowling.
