In the wake of a controversial arrest, protesters are set to take to downtown Erie Thursday.

Protesters are expected to show up at the east side of Perry Square starting at 11:30am.

They will be protesting outside the United States Federal Courthouse and Department of Justice offices starting at noon.

The demonstration is expected to last around 45 minutes.

The protest stems from the physical arrest of Montrice Bolden that was all captured on surveillance video. The video does show officers handling Bolden aggressively but does not show the incident that lead up to the struggle.

This however is not the first protest planned for this incident. Another protest was already planned by a different organizer for an earlier date, but was later canceled.

Bishop Dwayne Brock, Bishop Jessie Gavin, and Pastor James Keeton are the ones who will be leading the demonstration.
