Dairy Queen customers get a sweet treat Monday.

It's Free Cone Day at all DQ locations, except inside the mall.

We found a steady flow of customers who lined up for a free cone at the DQ on Peach street Monday afternoon, "Today's free cone day we're doing it to support the Children's Miracle Network and It's also a way to show our customer appreciation, "said General Manager Angel Niemeyer.

Free Cone Day has been a tradition for the past three years.

As part of the annual event, DQ is also accepting donations for the Children's Miracle Network.

Each year, DQ raises thousands of dollars for the cause.

DQ will be passing out cones and accepting donations, through the end of the day.
