The Westside Saints Neighborhood Watch hosted an active shooter preparedness training seminar Wednesday evening.
Guest speaker Tom Wager is a former police officer, emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter.
He developed the training and delivers presentations throughout Erie County and the tri-state area.
He was joined by former Belle Valley fire chief John Rainey.
The training is designed to prepare the public for an active shooter situation or an attack in a neighborhood.
"We hope we will never have to use these skills," said Heidi Miles, Westside Saints Neighborhood Watch. "But it's better to be prepared."
