Erie Man Sentenced in Stabbing Case
An Erie man will be spending the next several years in jail for a fight at a business that spilled out into the street, and ended in a stabbing.
Robin Nixon has been sentenced to a term of between two years and three months, and four years to six months. It's on charges of aggravated assault and endangering of another person.
Police say he stabbed two people last June at Hunter's Inn, located at 26th and Cranberry Streets in Erie. Back in March, Nixon entered a plea of no contest, in court. Other charges, including attempted homicide, were dropped.
Nixon got into an argument with another 32 year old man, the night of June 1.
Erie News Now learned the victim followed Nixon out of the bar, and Nixon reportedly stabbed the victim during an altercation outside. Another man suffered a relatively minor stab wound while trying to break up the fight.
