The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection says a public hearing for the Erie Coke Plant cannot take place until the Department finishes a review of the plant.

In an email to Erie News Now, a representative from the Department says they are still reviewing the plant's Title Five permit and their Pollutant Discharge Elimination system renewal. 

After their reviews are complete, there will be a 60 day window for public meetings.
