On the final full day of campaigning in the race for the new 16th Congressional District in northwestern Pennsylvania, Congressman Mike Kelly will focus his efforts on getting out the senior citizen vote.

Three of the state’s Living Independence For the Elderly (LIFE) Programs, in Mercer, Crawford and Erie Counties have each announced visits Monday from Congressman Kelly.

The republican incumbent in the 3rd Congressional District, is seeking a fifth term in office, in the redrawn district.  The businessman from Butler faces a strong challenge from Erie democrat Ron DiNicola, an attorney making his third run for the post.

Kelly will begin his tour at 10:00 a.m. at the LIFE-NWPA Center in Sharon at 80 East Silver Street.  He will visit with participants who are age 55 or older in support of the National Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly.

At 12:30 p.m., the Congressman and a small group will then head to LIFE-NWPA Crawford County, located at 1034 Grove Street in Meadville, where he'll take a tour and talk with seniors.

Congressman Kelly will continue on to the LIFE-NWPA center in Erie County.  He's expected to arrive at 2:30 p.m., for a tour of the Erie facility.

Voters go to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to return him to office for another term.
