Erie Man Sentenced for Attempted Homicide in Shooting
The Erie man who pleaded guilty to attempted homicide and a gun charge will spend more than a decade behind bars.
A judge sentenced Keiyauve Gates, 22, to serve 13 to 27 years in prison.
Police accuse him of shooting another man on the city's west side in April.
At an earlier court hearing, the victim testified that Gates shot him after asking him if he ever "ratted" on anybody.
Apparently, it was all about a planned robbery that never happened.
That man was shot a total of three times.
