Caution Slippery Roads with Weather Advisory

With the winter weather advisory, it's important to keep your sidewalks salted.
Rain will be turning to ice, and that means your chances of slipping and sliding are more likely.
As for the roads, crews will be out treating them, but not as much as they will be in the weeks to come.
The winter plow season hasn't begun quite yet.
Erie's director of Public Work says, they split their crews into three shifts starting the first week of December. Doing that makes snow removal efforts easier and faster.
In the meantime, remember, even if the roads have been treated; drive with caution, and keep an emergency kit in your car, just in case.
