The Erie woman accused of killing her boyfriend during a fight inside their east Erie apartment entered a guilty plea Monday morning.
Windi Thomas, 44, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in the death of her boyfriend, Keeno Butler.
The coroner said Thomas beat Butler in the head with a wooden table leg then suffocated him during a fight inside their East Ave. apartment in March.
At the time, Thomas told police she had been drinking and looking to buy crack cocaine shortly before the confrontation with Butler.
Thomas faces up to 40 years in prison. Prosecutors recommended 18 to 36 years as part of the plea deal.
