An email bomb threat sent nationwide forced the Millcreek Township School District to evacuate four of its schools Thursday, but police said no suspicious packages were found.

Students at Belle Valley and Grandview Elementary Schools, as well as J.S. Wilson and Westlake Middle Schools safely evacuated their buildings during the 2 p.m. hour.

They were all dismissed at their normal times - some from different locations. All after-school activities were also canceled at all four schools.

We also learned the same email hoax was sent to Sara Reed.

City of Erie Police told Erie News Now they are investigating similar threats, but none of them appear to be credible.

Similar threats have also been made across the country. Police were called to investigate multiple bomb threats in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. Deputies in Florida were notified of bomb threats in North Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Collier County.
