Erie Insurance is teaming up with U.S. Brig Niagara for this year's Tall Ships Challenge.

The Tall Ships Challenge is an annual series of Tall Ship races and port festivals that celebrate maritime heritage and traditions.

The Tall Ships Festival itself will feature day sails, live entertainment, a festival marketplace, food and more.

More than 10 Tall Ships are expected to sail in to port.

Another key feature of all these Tall Ship events is education.

Erie Insurance will sponsor 20 high school students to train on the Brig Niagara during race season next year.

The Tall Ships will sail into Erie Aug. 22-25.
