This weekend, the best of the best NFL players will hit the gridiron for the 2019 Pro Bowl.

One of those players, is Erie's James Conner.

Erie News Now sat down with James' brother, Glen Conner, of Erie, as he gets ready to head to the Sunshine State to watch the game.

Conner got the opportunity this season to be the starting running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he literally hit the ground running, with an impressive season.

Glen says it's been incredible to watch his younger brother successfully fulfilling his NFL dream, “He always had a dream to get there and now that he's there... a lot of people get there... but to stay there and to find success, you have to do more, and he's definitely doing everything he has to do, so it's amazing to see it all unfold,” said Glen Conner.

James Conner was one of six Steelers chosen to play in the Pro Bowl this coming Sunday, January 27th, and Glen says and he the family will be there.

We've heard many local people say if they're not a Steelers fan, they're still a James Conner fan, because it's exciting to watch a hometown guy play so well.
It's a sentiment Glen is proud of, “It's just something positive to look at and to be able to be blessed to say, ‘That's my brother and I'm proud of him,’” said Glen. “And to have all the support of the city of Erie, the city of Pittsburgh, and he's really got a nationwide fan base. He's got the Christian demographic, the cancer demographic, there's a lot of people that support him and appreciate everything he says and does and the way he represents and carries himself, it's just good,” Glen continued.

Glen says his brother has always been strong and determined, and he's humble too, so James Conner just seems to be having fun doing his job, and doing it well.
