Tendto Credit Union has been serving its members since 1958.

For years it was known at the Erie Community Credit Union, changing its name to Tendto last year.

The new name chosen to fit the mission of the credit union.

Tendto Vice President of Brand Marketing Pam Palotas said, "We tended to the community, to the needs of our members, to our employees."

The credit union tends to about 14,000 members at four locations.

Its assets totaling about $110 million.

It is known for auto loans but that is just part of the business.

Palotas said, "We offer home loans, student loans, credit cards, checking accounts. It is all there."

But Tendto says what makes it different is the friendly, personal approach it provides, an approach that helps generate new business.

Palotas said, "That is the best marketing you can have, is word of mouth. If someone leaves here happy and goes home and tells a family member, friend, or their co-workers, that is the best relationship you can have."
