UE issued a bulletin Wednesday with an update on negotiations with Wabtec. Both sides met for the first time Tuesday since reaching an interim agreement March 6.

The union said the company and negotiating committees found common ground on a number of non-economic contract issues.

Workers returned Monday after spending nine days on the picket lines. They went on strike Feb. 26 - the day after the closing for the merger between Wabtec and General Electric.
