(ERIE, P.A. - WICU/WSEE/CW) –Several aspiring college entrepreneurs had their chance to make their best pitch Thursday night.

 Erie’s Innovation Collaborative hosted the sixth-annual Erie Collegiate Innovation Showcase at the Erie Insurance Amphitheater.

Students from Gannon University, Edinboro University and Penn State Behrend all presented their unique technological inventions to a group of guest judges.

Criteria ranged from market competition, to expected sales.

Inventions included a Solar-powered phone socket (Behrend) , a universal storage system (Edinboro), a greenhouse/garden setup (Gannon), a water-powered pair of shoes (Behrend) and a robotic snow removal machine (Gannon).

The grand champion prize of $2500 went to the snow removal robot. While the first place price of $2000 went to the greenhouse and garden set up.
