Erie County Poet Laureate Holds Annual Poetry Reading
April is National Poetry Month, which means our local Poet Laureate has been very busy.
Monday night, Erie County Poet Laureate, Dr. Chuck Joy, presented the annual poetry reading at Hirt Auditorium at Blasco Memorial Library.
This month, poetry reading have been scheduled at the four Erie County Public Library branches.
The poetry readings are free events and open to all ages.
Dr Joy is also a child psychiatrist. He is the poetry editor of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and is the host of Poetry Tonight, a weekly open mic event in Erie.
The next Erie County Library system Poetry Reading will be held Saturday, April 27, at 2pm at the Millcreek Branch Library, located behind the Millcreek Mall.
