Millcreek Supervisors today approved a controversial rezoning.

They approved changing the zoning of a property along West Ridge Road to high density residential.

It is a first step toward allowing land owner and developer Robert Sesler to build three townhouses with 21 units.

Neighbors concerned about flooding, traffic and safety.

But Sesler said the project fits the future plans for the township.

Sesler said, "We feel we are compliant with the Embrace Millcreek comprehensive plan which was decided in 2018 so we are just following that plan."

Neighbor Carol Johnson said, "It is just not a good fit, all the way around and that is why I am opposed to it."

A land development plan for the project must still be approved before any actual construction can take place.
