Two Erie County Schools Receive Funding For Breakfast Program
More Erie County students will start their day with a healthy breakfast, thanks to $8,500 in state grant money.
Erie County State Representative Ryan Bizzarro announced the grants. The aim is to fuel better academic performance for area children.
The funding, is part of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf's school breakfast initiative, which includes $4,660 to General McLane High School and $3,843 to the Montessori Regional Charter School.
The funding is to start breakfast programs using alternative methods such as "grab-and-go" or breakfast in the classroom.
