The former Titusville teacher arrested after investigators said she had sex at least 10 times with 14-year-old male has been released on bond.

Rochelle L. Cressman, 32, of Titusville, who had been behind bars since May 9, posted bond Monday, according to court records. Bail was initially set at $75,000 monetary, but it had been modified.

Cressman has hired a private attorney and is still scheduled to appear before District Judge Amy Nicols for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, May 23.

She faces ten counts each of statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, as well as 42 counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old and one count each of unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors and terroristic threats.

State Police said the investigation started after they were notified by the victim's mother.

Cressman and the 14 year old had been in an intimate relationship that started in September 2018 and ended in April 2019, according to troopers. It reportedly happened at multiple locations, including a private residence on Springcreek Rd. in Oil Creek Township and on N. Martin St. in the City of Titusville.

The victim told investigators during an interview he had sex with Cressman at least 10 times and had multiple other sexual encounters with her.

The Titusville Area School District's superintendent confirmed to Erie News Now that Cressman was a middle school health and physical education teacher who was hired in 2009. She has not been with the district since April 12.

The superintendent said the school district is cooperating fully with investigation.
