No major problems were reported in Crawford County during Tuesday's primary election as voters learned how to use the new voting system.

It took longer than normal for the results to become available because poll workers were trying to get used to the new equipment.

They took their time because they wanted to ensure accuracy.

Voters got to cast their ballots Tuesday on brand new tablets. Ballots were printed, then voters put it in a tabulator to actually cast their ballots.

The paper ballots were saved in case there were any problems.

Machines with a paper trail are required by the state by 2020.
