Erie's Bhutanese community celebrated a spiritual festival Sunday at St. Nick's Grove.

There was dancing, singing and colorful dress for many who turned out. They lined up for delicious food from their culture as well.

Erie has a growing population of immigrants from Bhutan.

The festival - Ubhauli Sakela - is focused on their ancient Earth-based spirituality and a spring planting ritual. It's an observance from Kiranti Rai, a small minority group of Bhutanese.

A report from Erie Arts and Culture indicates about 60 percent of Erie's Bhutanese are Hindu while 30 percent are Buddist.
