Erie County Government Launches New Careers Web Page
If you're searching for a job, Erie County Government is now accepting online applications for open positions on a new Careers web page.
County human resources and IT staffs built the new application system themselves to streamline the process and and increase the pool of potential employees for open jobs.
The Careers site includes information about county benefits and features testimonials from current county employees.
Until now, you had to print out applications and mail or fax them in to county human resources.
Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper said, "This new system finally gets Erie County in line with modern hiring practices, something that has been long overdue."
According to Sabrina Fischer, director of Human Resources for Erie County, The new system will also make it easier for county department heads and managers to process and post new job openings more quickly and easily. "Open positions will be posted on the Careers site in real time, as they become available," Fischer said. To check out the Careers site, click here.
If you don't have computer access, you can apply for jobs using computers at the Erie County Department of Human Resources, located on the fifth floor of the Erie County Courthouse, or at any Erie County Public Library branch.
