The Western PA Families of Fallen Heroes Foundation is honoring fallen soldiers from the area to keep the memory of their sacrifice alive.

It's an annual memorial celebration that recognizes soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2003 to the present.

Over 300 soldiers were recognized during the celebration with a gun salute, released doves, a flag and the reading of their name followed by the ringing of a bell.

The celebration has been hosted for 14 years and it's held in a different county each year.

The foundation serves families of fallen soldiers and helps them with expenses such as funeral flowers and medical bills.
