The Week Ahead: Another Break Coming from Rain, Storms
Here's your forecast for the week ahead!
We'll start off the week with some stormy weather. Showers and thunderstorms are expected on Monday, especially during the afternoon and evening, as a cold front passes through. Monday will be warm with temperatures in the 70's, but after the cold front passes through, we'll cool down into the 60's once again on Tuesday.
High Pressure will be moving into the area behind the cold front, which means the weather will be very pleasant! Tuesday and Wednesday will feature plenty of sunshine, and even though Tuesday will be cooler than average, temperatures will bump back into the 70's again on Wednesday afternoon. This weather is fantastic for outdoor plans! The Sunset Music Series on Wednesday night at Presque Isle is looking great with dry conditions.
The weather turns unsettled once again for the second half of the week as the strong part of the jet stream stays parked over Northwest Pennsylvania. When this happens, the chances for showers and thunderstorms increase. Right now we'll keep it at about a 30-40% chance of storms Thursday through Sunday, but we'll certainly adjust throughout the week!
