The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has put into place lane and speed restrictions on part of Interstate 86 in Erie County.

The right lane of I-86 eastbound will be closed from the I-90 interchange to the New York state line in Greenfield Township while preservation work is completed.

The speed limit will be lowered to 45 miles per hour for traffic in the left lane of I-86 eastbound.

Drivers in the area are urged to slow down in the work zone and stay alert to changing conditions.
