Luminary Distilling began making and selling vodka, whiskey, gin and other spirits just over two years ago.

And the Summit Township business just keeps growing.

Joel Normand and his wife Maria DiSanza opened Luminary after lots of planning.

The couple use four different stills mixing grains, malts and other ingredients at the right temperature for the right amount of time.

Joel said, "To do everything right, takes kind of a combination of science and art.  The science is important to grasp first. The art comes a bit later."

Luminary began making just three different spirits, that has grown to more than a dozen.

Customers can buy just single drinks or an entire bottle.

Owners say they have been busy serving a combination of tourists and a core of loyal regular customers. Those regulars are the key reason the business has kept growing.

Maria said, " It is nice to have the community support and be able to grow."
