Erie Coke Worker Rushed to Hospital with Hand Injury
As leaders of the Erie Coke plant fight for the company's future, one of the company's workers wound up in the hospital with an apparent workplace injury.
The call came in around 3:30 a.m. Friday from the Erie Coke plant on the Bayfront.
Rescue crews responded to a report of a worker with what they referred to as a smashed hand.
No word on exactly how it happened, or if that worker was trapped at any point.
At this point all we know is that it was a 38-year old male who was transported to UPMC Hamot.
