WATCH: Erie Police Release Surveillance Video of Deadly Shooting Outside Strip Club
Erie Police have released some dramatic surveillance video of the shooting outside of West Erie strip club, which claimed the life of a Michigan man.
In the security camera video from the Juliet's Gentlemen's Club, you can see a silver Jeep Liberty Sport turn north onto Shenley Drive, and park on the side of the road. Two men immediately get out and fire off several gunshots at the victims' vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot. That vehicle is blurred out.
Erie Police hope by releasing this surveillance video to the public, someone can help them identify the suspects' vehicle, and the suspects involved. The vehicle involved is believed to be a 2001-2007 Jeep Liberty Sport that is silver in color with a covered spare tire and on the rear hatch.
One of the two victims shot - Michael Taylor, 23, of Detroit - suffered a gunshot wound to the head, according to Erie Police.
The video allowed police to identify the vehicle's make, model and color used by the suspects, but the registration and occupants are still unknown.
Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook has ruled his death a homicide and said Taylor was pronounced dead around 12:50 p.m. Thursday at the hospital.
Another man in the vehicle, who investigators say was Taylor's brother, was also shot, but he suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police are not releasing his name.
Cook said an autopsy will be conducted on Taylor's body, but ithas not yet been scheduled.
Erie Police do not have any suspects.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
At the scene, officers found close to 20 spent shell casings on the sidewalk. They also found a gun in the street.
Police said both of the shooting victims are from Michigan.
