State Rep. Bob Merski hosted a forum for millennials and younger voters Saturday.

It was held at Premium Coffee on W. 38 St. in Erie.

Merski said this is something he is committed to doing regularly.

He wants to hear the concerns of those in his district, as well as offer them updates on what's happening at the state level.

Merski told Erie News Now which issues keep coming up.

"A lot of the things that are coming up are minimum wage [and] student loan debt," said Rep. Merski. "We're talking about education, higher ed and just basically listening to what folks have to say and giving them an overview of what state government does, how many representatives we have. It was part informational and part question and answers."

Saturday's session was Rep. Merski's first time hosting what he's calling Coffee and Conversations.
