The early half of the week will be the wettest with on and off chances for showers and thunderstorms. Then, a cold front will move through on Wednesday, bringing more comfortable and drier air to Northwest PA!

There's a small chance of a few scattered showers on Wednesday afternoon, but the cold front will move through sometime in the Wednesday night or Thursday time frame, and it will knock the rain out of here for a while.  Below is an image of the GFS model on Wednesday afternoon.  It shows most of the rain scattered south and east of our area across Central PA.

On Thursday, that cold front pushes through and high pressure begins to build in.  That means you can expect consistent, sunny weather around here for the end of the week! Temperatures on Thursday and Friday will feel great also... we'll only top out in the lower 80's.

Looking ahead towards the first half of August, temperatures are expected to be below normal across Northwest PA!  The map below was generated by the climate prediction center, and places with blue shading are expected to see below normal temperatures.  Enjoy the nice, warm weather while you can, because we all know what will be coming in the next few months!
