Pennsylvania State Police to Hold Inclusive, One-Day Camp for People with Special Needs
Pennsylvania State Police is partnering with Edinboro University to host is third annual Sunny Day Camp on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The one-day inclusive camp is open to any child or adult with special needs who lives in Erie, Crawford, Warren or Venango Counties.
It is designed to make sure no one is excluded from learning about the law enforcement agencies in their communities.
The morning will include an opening ceremony and the display of first responder vehicles. The afternoon will feature a variety of games and events of various skill levels.
Each participant will receive a T-shirt, and troopers will name and present certificates to each attendee. It will end with music and a T-shirt signing with troopers.
It runs from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Edinboro. Registration starts at 9 a.m.
All participants must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
The camp is free and made possible by donations from Boosters of Camp Cadet.
Registration, which must be completed online here, is limited to 200.
