Aunt of Victims Talks About Night of Fatal Fire
The aunt of the 5 children killed in a fire Sunday night recalled the night of the fatal fire.
Kia Overton told Erie News Now she was called by her sister asking her to take her to UPMC Hamot early Sunday morning.
"Before I could even park the car she was jumping out while it was moving," Overton said. "We found the mother of the four children in the middle of the street just, hysterical."
She said she wasn't sure who to console first, and that the family is devastated and is relying on faith to get them through the tragedy.
The fire claimed the lives of five children and a woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital as a result of a fire at a home that operated as a daycare on Erie's west side.
