Four of Child Development Centers’ (CDC) six Erie County Head Start locations will start classes a week earlier than planned.

Tuesday, Sept. 3 is the first day of classes for children enrolled at the Elk Valley, Corry, Shiloh and John E. Horan sites.

Kids enrolled at the Century Child Development Center along East 27th Street or Asbury Child Development Center off of West 38th Street will start Monday, Sept. 9.

The staggered start dates will allow renovation work to be completed at the Century and Asbury locations.

Families who are interested in enrolling their child between the ages of 3 and 5 in the program can fill out an online application here.

The five-year Head Start grant for Erie County was awarded to CDC in June.
