Erie Homes for Children and Adults (EHCA) hosted a Party with a Purpose Wednesday to celebrate the five-year anniversary of its MOVE facility along W. 23 St. in Millcreek Township.

MOVE is an adult day program that helps to get people with disabilities out into the community doing volunteer work or socializing.

EHCA is a non-profit which serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides residential homes and programming like MOVE.

"We really want to be a part of the community and part of that is doing the things you and I like to do," said Debra Niland, MOVE director at EHCA. "We really push them to have an everyday life."

EHCA employs 570 people and serves more than 400 people with disabilities each day.
