The first-ever Washington Trail Music Festival kicked off Saturday at noon in Waterford, PA.

The event features eight local bands: Cheap N Easy, Smalltown Roller, HighLife, The Riffriders, Mania, The Earthquakers, Jakes Blues, and  Rick & the Roadhouse Rockers.

Music is being performed in a large barn on the property at 13010 Old Plank Rd. Other activities include sky divers, chainsaw wood carving, tattoos, and fireworks.

Early in the afternoon, there was a pig roast and adult beverages supplied to attendees. Because alcohol is involved, there is room on location for guests to camp out if they wish.

Admission to the event is a minimum $10 donation, which will go to Grady's Decision. The charity is a local non-profit that helps families of prematurely-born babies with medical costs.

The event is hosted by Banta Security, LLC. and sponsored by Gaven Hedderik and Erie Harley Davidson.
