Erie Police have impounded a vehicle as part of their investigation into a hit-and-run crash Friday that claimed the life of a motorcyclist, Erie News Now learned Monday.
The victim - Darcy Phillips, 58 - passed away at UPMC Hamot at 9:54 a.m. Sunday, according to the coroner. Her death was ruled as accidental from blunt force trauma to the head.

Police on Friday released surveillance photos of an older model, maroon Toyota RAV 4 with gray trim and a gray spare tire cover that was being sought in connection to the crash. Investigators said it has damage on the rear passenger side and was last seen heading east on W. 8th St.
Investigators said they received a tip from a neighboring police agency that it may have found the suspect vehicle and confiscated it Sunday. The vehicle has not yet been matched to a driver, and police are still investigating whether it is the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run, according to investigators.
Police are still asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact investigators at 814-870-1120.
