Hospice Doctor on Cycling Mission Stops in Erie
A hospice doctor from eastern Pennsylvania who is on a cycling mission for a cause made a stop in Erie Tuesday.
Dr. Ric Baxter from Bethlehem, Pa., has been making his way around the state on a bicycle for the past 8 days.
After 426 miles of cycling and spreading awareness of hospice care, he made it to Erie.
Dr. Baxter said he has only been rained on once and, for the most part, has enjoyed cool mornings for cycling.
Baxter logged 2,000 miles to prepare for the marathon ride.
He is calling the journey "Don't Wait" to underscore the importance of living life to its fullest.
Dr. Baxter also spoke at Duskas Martin Funeral Home Tuesday evening at a screening of the movie Getting Grace.
By the time he returns to Bethlehem, he will have logged a thousand miles.
