Edinboro is going to see improvements, thanks in part to gaming revenue.

The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA) presented several grant awards to the community Wednesday morning.

ECGRA presented special events grants to the Edinboro University Foundation and the Edinboro Highland Games.

Edinboro was also presented a $250,000 Mission Main Street grant which targets revitalization along commercial corridors.

The Gaming Revenue Authority has set aside $2.5 million to be invested over the next three years.

ECGRA leaders said the investment will help the whole community.

This grant is the single largest grant to ever come to the Edinboro Borough," said Perry Wood, executive director of ECGRA. "We're really excited about it. We think it's going to be transformational. It's going to be a three-year grant. It's really going to bring together some of the other projects that have been funded in the past."

Edinboro has seen nearly $700,000 worth of investments since 2011 thanks to gaming revenue, according to ECGRA leaders.
