Firefighter Suffers Smoke Inhalation Burns from Fairview House Fire
A firefighter was flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of smoke inhalation burns suffered while tacking a fire at a Fairview home Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported at 5700 Franklin Rd. around 8:40 a.m.
It took roughly two hours to put out the flames that primarily damaged the second and third floors of the home.
No one was at home at the time of the fire, but four family pets were inside when the flames broke out. They are okay, but the family is still trying to located a black cat.
We're told the owner's daughter, son-in-law and five kids were also staying there after a fire at their home two years ago.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
