Four communities in Erie County will soon see some improvements with the help of gaming revenue.

In all, the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA) distributed more than $700,00 worth of Mission Main Street grants Tuesday.

The grants were awarded for the Borough of Girard, Impact Corry, Preservation Erie and Waterford Borough.

Mission Main Street grants support upgrades in and around local main streets.

"We think it's transformational in preserving and restoring our small town," said Tim Laflame, president of Waterford Borough Council.
"We have some iconic buildings that recently have deteriorated. This grant makes it possible to restore those buildings and preserve them as well as expand our growth."
