Gannon Starts Construction on I-HACK's New Home
Work has officially begun on Gannon's Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge, also known as I-HACK.
The university hosted a ceremony Thursday to kick off the construction. It ended with the swinging of sledgehammers.
Gannon is transforming the former Verizon call center on W. 10th St. into the 100,000-square foot Knight Tower. It's part of a $13 million project.
New construction includes faculty offices, classrooms and subject-specific labs for cyber hacking and defense.
Classes for the new cybersecurity and cyber engineering majors began this fall.
