THC-Laced Candy Disguised as Nerds Seized in Pennsylvania
A drug bust in Pennsylvania has law enforcement sending out a warning regarding drug-laced candy.
Johnstown Police released photos from a recent search of a storage unit belonging to Andrew Colvin, 27, of Ferndale.
Colvin was arrested Wednesday after driving under the influence and having 60 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
Further investigation led police to the storage unit where they discovered a copious amount of drugs, including THC-laced candies.
The edibles were disguised as the popular Nerds brand candy.
There was a total of 394 packets, each containing 400 milligrams of THC.
Other drugs confiscated during the search included cocaine, crystal meth, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana and several unidentified substances.
Police said all of the items have been sent to the Pennsylvania Crime Lab for testing.
Colvin faces additional charges and is being held in the Cambria County Prison on an additional $500,000 bail.
