A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash in Waterford Borough Friday evening, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

It was reported on Route 19 at the intersection of Route 97N around 5:49 p.m.

A Honda Accord driven by a 29-year-old Cambridge Springs man was stopped at the intersection when a 48-year-old man on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle failed to turn right, locked up his brakes and slid into the car, troopers said.

An ambulance took the motorcyclist to UPMC Hamot for treatment.

He was cited for several traffic violations, including driving on roadways laned for traffic and driving at a safe speed.
