Mercyhurst University Dedicates Lobby to Alumnus
An alumnus who spent more than a decade serving Mercyhurst University now has part of the school named in his honor.
University officials unveiled the Honorable Richard A. Lanzillo Lobby today in Ryan Hall, the school’s newest residence hall.
Lanzillo is now a federal judge, but the 1983 graduate spent 13 years on the school's board of trustees. He was chairman of the board when the school started building Ryan Hall. As a student, he served two terms as student government president, and administrators say he never stopped helping students, even long after he’d graduated.
