House Fire in Union City Displaces Family, Kills Two Pets
The American Red Cross is helping a family after fire damaged their Union City home early Sunday morning.
It was reported at 3 Grant St. around 12:45 a.m.
Three adults and a child lived at the home. They were asleep at the time, but smoke detectors woke them up, according to Union City Fire Chief Isaiah Thomas. No one was injured, but two pets died.
Firefighters from multiple departments spent three hours working to put out the flames.
There is no word on the cause. The extent of the damage is unclear.
