A new exhibit at the Robert H. Jackson Center is honoring a former Jamestown, New York Mayor for his 50 years of public service.

This week, officials recognized Stan Lundine, the former Jamestown Mayor, New York State Lieutenant Governor and Congressman. Current Jamestown Mayor Sam Teresi, says he remembers when Lundine was elected in 1969.

Teresi says, "I was a student at MJ Fletcher Elementary School and took notice of what was going, started taking an interest in getting involved with the local political process and campaigns, slinging literature as a kid. Later in life, I had the opportunity to meet one of my role models, mentors and political heroes, Stan Lundine, and we've remained good personal friends ever since."

Those interested in seeing the display can visit the Jackson Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Guided tours are also available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
