Junior Achievement held its annual event, Celebrating Success, Wednesday night at the Erie Art Museum in Erie.

The event honors the achievements of local entrepreneurs.

Kristen Santiago and Jonathan Meighan were honored for being role models to the youth of Erie County.

Santiago is an Erie native, and advocate for the arts.  She has built her life around supporting artists and entrepreneurs, and also serves as board president for Erie ClaySpace.

Jonathan Meighan purchased Lake Erie Rubber in 2017, and continues to develop the company's brand.   He founded One Leg Up Pet Products as a way for Lake Erie Rubber to diversity its customer base and grow the company.

Junior Achievement connects youth to mentors and role models from their own communities to show them what's possible if they dream big, and work hard.  Junior Achievement programs help students make the connection between classroom theory and real-world application.
